Same Day vs Next Day: The Simple Breakdown
Same-day wash and fold:
- Drop off at 278 Pocasset Ave by 2PM
- We wash, dry, and fold your order
- Ready for pickup later the same day (typically by evening)
Next-day wash and fold:
- Drop off after 2PM, or whenever is convenient
- Order is ready the following day
- Great if you're not in a rush or have a larger load
Both options are available every day we're open — and we're open daily from 8AM to 8PM.
What Happens During That Time?
Once you hand off your bag, here's the process:
1. Check-in: We weigh your order and note any special instructions 2. Sorting: Lights, darks, delicates — separated properly 3. Washing: The right temperature and cycle for each load 4. Drying: Fully dried — no damp surprises 5. Folding: Everything folded neatly before it goes back in the bag
For a typical household load (one or two bags), this runs about 4–6 hours. For larger orders, it may take a bit longer — but we'll give you an honest estimate at drop-off.
What Can Affect Turnaround Time?
A few things can stretch or compress the timeline:
- Load size: More laundry = more cycles = more time. Makes sense.
- Special instructions: Cold wash, hang dry, delicates separated — we honor these, but they can add time
- Volume of orders that day: We're efficient, but we'll always be honest if we're running a heavy day
When in doubt, ask. We'd rather set accurate expectations than overpromise.
